Autobiografia, Copia Finale, lunedì, il 5 ottobre
![]() |
Someone holding a sign welcoming the Pope. Instead of saying "Welcome, Pope," the sign says "Welcome, Potato." Do not use Google translate! |
Previously, you wrote a 20 sentence autobiography about yourself. For periods 3 and 6, you received your rough drafts back. Period 10, you will receive them on Tuesday.
Now you must make a final copy of your rough draft. If you had all 20 sentences in your rough draft, then great! All you have to do is rewrite and type up your 20 sentences and follow the project guidelines below. If you did not meet the 20 sentence requirement, then you must do so and write more sentences.
This will be due on Monday, October 5, 2015 and will be worth a quiz grade. For every day that this is late, you will receive a 10 point deduction.
The main components of this project are:
1. Write 20 sentences in Italian about yourself,
2. Include a picture or drawing of yourself,
3. Make your project creative and beautiful,
4. Read the project guidelines and rubric (below),
5. Do not use Google translate,
6. Hand in your project on time.
Please click each picture below to enlarge. You may also email me if you have any questions about this project.
Esamino (quiz), giovedì, il primo ottobre

NUTELLA! |
Benvenuti!
I compiti per mercoledì, il 9 settembre:
1. Have you and your parent/guardian read and sign your Italian 3 contract.
2. Sign up for Quizlet: quizlet.com/LaGuardiaAL. Once you have clicked the link, click on the "Classes" tab. Then sign up for "Italiano 3/4, 2015-2016 School Year." If you do not have an account already, create an account. All of the vocabulary sets that you see are from Italian 1/2. You are responsible for knowing these sets. This is the foundation we will build upon in Italian 3/4.
Once you have signed up for this class, you will receive emails when I have uploaded a new set. I have 65 of them (I mean business!). This website will be very helpful to you throughout the year in studying for quizzes and tests. If you are feeling overambitious, you may also download the app (which I highly recommend). I promise, it's super fun!
Please sign-up for and follow this blog. Please use a valid email. I will be communicating with you through this website, and it is your responsibility to check this website daily for homework and other assignments.
3. Get proper materials for this class: binder, looseleaf, and folder. You may use a spiral notebook instead of a binder if you desire (I know these are lighter in your backpacks). Please do not use composition notebooks. If I would like to collect work, these papers do not tear well.
Your folder should ONLY be for Italian class. I give many worksheets, and it is your responsibility to be organized. These worksheets will help you study for quizzes, tests, and the final exam. Please have these materials by Wednesday, September 16, 2015.
**You must bring these items and your textbook to class every day. **
4. Research a safety, target, and reach school - find out their high school foreign language requirements/recommendations for applicants.
5. Tomorrow's in class assignment, which will be collected by the sub. There will be a fire drill period 3, so I am posting the assignment below:
Please respond to all of the questions below. Be sure that you write at least a full page total. Do not hand in five pages total for five questions.
1. Why is it important to study a foreign language?
2. Why are you studying Italian?
3. What do you want to achieve in this class? What are your goals?
4. How are you going to achieve your goals?
5. Tell me about yourself! What do you want me to know?
Should you have any questions, please contact Signorina Laricchia at LaricchiaLAG@gmail.com. My email, class website, and Quizlet URL are all on the course contract.
